Chek-Mate™! by Allanson is easy to use and makes service calls a breeze. Simply touch the high voltage spheres to the high voltage contacts of any brand of transformer or ignitor and the green LED lights up if the unit is good.

How many times have you misdiagnosed an intermittant oil burner problem because you did not check the Ignition transformer under load.It's easy to forget that just because a spark exists (with the old screwdriver test) that the spark characteristics are different under load. This inexpensive tester checks it all and tells if the transformer or ignitor is go or no-go. Don't be a parts changer that costs your customer money with expensive recalls know what the problem is and fix it.

Operating Instructions for Allanson’s Chek-Mate™

- Disconnect or shut
OFF power to burner.
- Remove the mounting plate screws and flip back the transformer or ignitor to expose high output connections
- Cover cad cell eye.
- Jump out operating controls/thermostat/aquastat.
- Turn ON power to burner.
- Hold Chek-Mate™ so that the gold globes make contact with the high voltage terminals.
Warning: Ensure your hands are placed far away from high voltage terminals.
- If the LED lights in 3 seconds, the transformer/ignitor is GOOD, if the LED fails to light the transformer/ignitor is unable to produce a sufficient spark.
Bad Condition; If LED fails to light in 3 seconds, replace the existing transformer/ignitor. Good Condition; If the LED lights and the unit is good, turn off power. Disconnect the tester and flip transformer/ignitor back into operating position. Secure the mounting plate and power ON the burner.Safe, reliable testing from the people who bring you dependable power.
